Cloud Fitting Room FAQs

Q: How does it work?

A: Take advantage of our Cloud Fitting Room Program and try before you buy. You can order up to 3 dresses for $9.99-$24.99  per dress and shipping is included in price. You can keep the dress(es) for 1 week from the delivery date and return it using the pre-paid return label. 

Really Important Stuff:

  • Please contact our Customer Service within 7 days of receiving your order to collect the pre-paid return label, make sure it's postmarked for return by the following postal day, and we will issue a full refund of the retail amount of the dress.
  • Dresses must be returned to us in the original condition that you received them in with the tags still on. If dresses come back and they're obviously damaged, but we can fix them, you'll be charged a cleaning fee that's determined by the extent of the damage. If the dress is returned and damaged beyond repair, you will be responsible for paying the full retail price of the dress.
  • Because of customs fees, we currently only ship to the United States.

Q: I can't find my dress in your samples!

A: The Cloud Fitting Room is very limited, and first come, first serve. But don't worry! We'll be continuing to add more styles, sizes, and colors, so check back often!

The Cloud Fitting Room is set up to help you test out size and quality before placing an order for your real dress. If the exact size and style you want isn’t available today, it may be out with another customer or it might be something we just don't carry yet. Keep checking back to see when it does become available.

Q: When do I need to return my dresses?

A: All dresses must be returned back to Lightinthebox, and are not to be worn for events or kept after trying them on. If your dresses are not postmarked for return by the 7th day from delivery to you, we will NOT refund the retail amount of the dress(es).

If you need to keep the dress(es) longer than a week, contact our Customer Service. We're reasonable people. If you keep the dresses for longer than 7 business days and we don't hear from you, and you're basically like "I love the dress, Lightinthebox!", we will NOT refund the retail amount of the dress. No ifs, ands, or buts once that has happened. That dress is yours, boo!

Sample dresses have also been tried on before and are no longer in new condition and may have small defects that don't affect fit and sizing. We want to make sure you have a beautiful dress for your special day, and to ensure that you'll need to purchase a made-for-you dress in the size, style, and color you need after trying on your sample dresses.

Q: How long does it take?

A: It takes 1-3 business days to process your order and then anywhere from 1 to 10 business days for your dresses to arrive, depending on where you live. 

Because of customs fees, we currently do not ship dresses to Canada.

Q: Is the cost of the sample taken off my final purchase?

A: The cost per sample dress covers the shipping for the dress(es) both ways, so it does not count towards the cost of your final order.

Actually, it doesn't even really cover our shipping costs, so it's a really good deal. It just helps :).
